This deal was a good one to make, Exelby was not getting the playing time he wanted, you could clearly tell from talks and his attitude that he wanted to be moved, his minutes were brought down a great deal this year with Colton Orr taking over the boxing ring, Last week Exelby asked for a trade to a team where he could see more action. Vancouver was a good choice he will beable to get the minutes he wants in return we get a much needed draft pick for this year. Only a mid round but will be good to help replenish the forward prospects.

This was a hard deal to do, we gave up what we thought would be our future, but with nagging injuries and a incosistant style of play we felt it would be best if we traded him away, We aquired Byfuglien who is a strong rugged two way forward who can play the body and can score us goals in key situations. We managed to get a 1st round pick this will be keey since we lost both our 1st and 2nd round picks to , Lalonde was the finl piece to this puzzle i watched him injuniors and his style of play will be a strong one to play with newly aquired Aluie next season.

This was hard deal for us to make Grabovski was out Number 1 center, but we could not pass up the chance to gain another 1st round draft pick in this years draft to build up the offence, Holzer and Knodel are two strong prospects but with the over whelming number of prospects we have, they were a good fit to throuh in to get this deal done, they wouldnt get the playing time they needed here.

This was a good deal for us in a few ways, we were able to shed some cap off our very highly priced defence, and we were able to trade away a defender who doesnt fit our plans in the long run, in return we were able to aquire a CHL sniper, and a strong 3rd line player for our organization. This deal will boos our two way production on the front end and add a little scoring touch for our team.

This deal was a good one for us, we are giving up a pick that was given to us at the trade deadline, so there isnt much loss in it, in return we have gotten one of the top Russian prospects for this season, he will see high minutes in the AHL this year, as he will be playing right wing top line. He will develope strong next year in our system, just how I want him to. Next season he will be his much antisipated NHL debut.
